Christmas in Montrose is an annual festival that captures the joy of the holiday season and celebrates the close-knit, neighbor-helping-neighbor values that make our small town so special. A Christmas tree is given a place of honor in the center of Main Street, and the celebration officially kicks off with a tree lighting ceremony that delights kids of all ages (as the song says, from 1 to 92!).
Come and welcome the Christmas season with a visit to Santa’s REAL (live!) reindeer, pictures with Old St. Nick himself, piping hot chocolate, and horse-drawn carriage rides through our beautiful downtown. You can’t forget a trip to the chocolate shop, a stroll through the farmer’s market, gift shopping and so much more. Wrap up this weekend of Christmas spirit in our hometown with the Montrose Christmas Chorale concert on Sunday afternoon.
There is something for all ages to enjoy, free events, and vendors to help with your gift shopping list. Visit our Schedule of Events page to see all there is going on!
